Plumbing That Makes a Remodel Last

The tile, the vanity, the fixtures — those are what you see. What you don't see is the plumbing, and that's what decides whether your new bathroom still works flawlessly in ten years or starts leaking in two. ADL Plumbing leads the plumbing side of your bathroom remodel so the work behind the walls is done once, and done right.

We handle every plumbing task a bathroom remodel involves: moving supply lines and drains for a new layout, converting a tub to a walk-in shower (or vice versa), upgrading to a dual-flush toilet, installing a wall-mount faucet, replacing aging galvanized or polybutylene with PEX or copper, and bringing old drain lines up to current code.

Because we're licensed master plumbers — not a general contractor guessing at pipe — every connection is permitted, pressure-tested, and backed by our workmanship guarantee. Your remodeler handles the finishes; we make sure the water moves where it should, safely and quietly, for the life of the bathroom.

Signs It's Time to Remodel

Fixtures are stained, corroded, or hard to clean
Low water pressure or slow-draining tub and shower
Cracked tile, failing grout, or water damage around the tub
An outdated layout that doesn't fit how you use the space
A tub you never use that you'd rather have as a walk-in shower
Hidden leaks or moisture behind old walls
Galvanized or polybutylene supply lines past their service life
A vanity or toilet in a spot that no longer makes sense

Our Bathroom Remodel Process

1

On-Site Consultation

We walk the space with you (and your remodeler, if you have one), review your goals, and assess the existing supply, drain, and vent layout so there are no surprises behind the walls.

2

Scope & Upfront Pricing

You get a clear plumbing scope — what moves, what's replaced, what's brought to code — with a flat upfront price. No vague allowances, no surprise change orders.

3

Rough-In & Repipe

We open the walls, run new supply lines (PEX or copper), re-route drains and vents, and set every connection to the new fixture layout. Everything is pressure-tested before the walls close.

4

Fixture Set & Final Inspection

Once finishes are in, we set the toilet, faucet, shower system, and drains, verify flow and drainage, and coordinate the plumbing inspection so the work is signed off and guaranteed.

Bathroom Remodeling Across the Austin Metro

Austin homes span every era — from 1930s central-Austin bungalows with galvanized supply lines to 1990s slab-on-grade builds with hidden polybutylene, to brand-new construction in growing communities. Each one hides different plumbing behind the bathroom walls, and our master plumbers have worked through all of it.

Hard water is the other Austin constant. It ages fixtures, clogs showerheads, and scales valve bodies. On every remodel we recommend and install fixtures rated for hard water, and we can add point-of-use filtration so your new shower stays looking and working like new longer.

Bathroom Remodeling FAQ

Do you do the whole remodel, or just the plumbing?

We specialize in the plumbing — the rough-in, repipes, fixture set, and code work behind the walls. We're happy to coordinate with your contractor or designer, or refer trusted Austin remodelers we've worked with. The result is a bathroom where the finishes look great and the plumbing is built to last.

Can you convert a tub to a walk-in shower?

Yes — it's one of the most common remodels we do. We re-route the drain, adjust the supply lines, install a linear or center drain, and set the new shower system. We also handle the reverse, converting a shower to a tub, and we can move the toilet or vanity to a new layout.

How long does the plumbing part of a bathroom remodel take?

Rough-in for a single bathroom typically takes 1–3 days depending on how much of the layout changes and what's behind the walls. The final fixture set is usually a half-day after finishes are complete. We'll give you an accurate timeline upfront.

Do you pull permits for the plumbing work?

Always. As licensed master plumbers we pull the plumbing permit and schedule the inspection so the work is legal, insurable, and guaranteed. A remodel with unpermitted plumbing can complicate a future home sale — we make sure yours is done right.
